- ➤ Bao Bei, a Taiwanese bao bun restaurant, will open its first brick-and-mortar shop on Aug. 27 in Montrose Crossing at 12055 Rockville Pike—next to Honey Pig Korean BBQ and Kosmo Nail Bar in Rockville. - ➤ A 17-year-old was shot and killed Tuesday night at 11:30 p.m. in the LongBranch area on University Boulevard East—police said that two others nearby were not hurt—and the investigation is ongoing. Montgomery Community Media

- ➤ A Montgomery County judge denied bond Tuesday for a Derwood man who faces charges for helping his roommate dispose of his 81-year-old mother's body. - ➤ Montgomery drivers must stop 20 feet from a school bus with its stop sign extended and red lights flashing and may not pass from any direction until the signals turn off-having to obey that rule even on roads with medians when driving in the same direction.
