- ➤ Senior volunteers from The Carnegie support Fields Road Elementary every week by offering reading, tutoring, and classroom help (including assistance during Kindergarten Orientation and field trips). - ➤ Students and staff at Kingsview Middle School in Germantown won the WUSA9 Eco Challenge today, celebrating an eco-surprise that highlights their creative efforts to improve the environment. The contest recognized the school’s dedication to environmental awareness. WUSA9

- ➤ The Montgomery County Education Association endorsed County Councilmember Will Jawando in the 2026 county executive race during its Apple Ballot announcement on Friday, Dec. 5. - ➤ The Montgomery County Planning Board recommended historic designation for the 113-year-old Rose-Budd House in Sandy Spring — the first Black community home to be recognized in this way. A public hearing will be held later so the council can decide its future preservation. MoCo360
