  • A Capital Area Food Bank report showed that 35% of Montgomery County households experienced food insecurity—slightly more than last year—and three local restaurants were named among the best in the DC area by the Washington Post, while U.S. Park Police ended a high-speed chase through the county Tuesday evening with no injuries or arrests. EDUCATION NEWS

  • Montgomery County Public Schools released revised boundary options for Woodward High that keep Whitman and Bethesda-Chevy Chase attendance zones unchanged while shifting zones for Walter Johnson, Northwood, and others—proposals presented online and in person last Monday and Tuesday that will be finalized by March 2026 for the upcoming 2027 to 2028 school year.  MoCo360

  • County Executive Marc Elrich and other officials will hold the grand opening of a new federal workforce career center today—Mobilize Montgomery—in Rockville.   • Montgomery County invested $700k to open a new Federal Workforce Career Center in Wheaton on Oct. 9 — a facility offering career counseling, resume help and interview coaching — to help federal job seekers.
