- ➤ Maryland's Department of Natural Resources is drafting a regulation to allow pedal-assist e-bikes on state bike trails that currently only permit traditional bicycles and pedestrians—Class 1 and 3 bikes would be allowed, while Class 2 bikes would only be permitted on trails designed for adaptive use.
