- ➤ Senator Chris Van Hollen talked with Kilmar Abrego Garcia and his wife on Sunday after officials said he must report to immigration on Monday for a possible deportation to Uganda — Abrego Garcia, who was released from jail on Aug. 22 and returned to Maryland, remains under home detention at his brother’s house and wears a monitoring device until his next court appearance.
