EDUCATION NEWS

  • Some MCPS employees still have pay issues even after assurances they will be fully paid on Friday, and union representatives say HR staff are overwhelmed by errors from the new payroll system and staffing cuts. • MCPS proposed a plan on August 22nd to divide high schools into six regions and offer themed programs like STEM, medical science, and International Baccalaureate; board members asked how the district would keep program quality consistent. The proposal adds changes to bus routes and admissions (with transportation costs estimated at $9.6 million in 2027-2028) and will affect students starting in the 2025-2026 school year.  MoCo360

HEALTH NEWS
