Good morning, Rockville.
🏛️ Government
On Friday, a federal appeals court ruled that a part of Maryland’s digital ad tax violates the First Amendment because it stops tech companies from telling customers why their bills go up.
The ruling sends the case back for a remedy that could affect K-12 education funding under the 2021 law—raising concerns over free speech and tax transparency.
