  • Montgomery County first responders will meet residents on Tuesday, Aug. 5 during National Night Out as more than two dozen events are planned across the county. HEALTH NEWS

  • Montgomery County’s Department of Health and Human Services gave $1.3 million in grants to three local groups to help youth with mental health and substance use issues using funds from settlements with JUUL and Altria. The grants will fund programs for Black and Latino youth ages 11 to 24 in the postal codes most affected — county officials said the move aims to reduce both immediate harm and long-term effects.  Montgomery Community Media
