- ➤ Montgomery County Councilmember Kate Stewart introduced a bill Tuesday, July 15 to stabilize energy costs & offer more renewable energy options through Community Choice Aggregation. - ➤ On Tuesday, Montgomery County Councilmembers unanimously passed a law to crack down on unlicensed commercial house parties that charge a fee and use residential homes as party venues. - ➤ Tuesday, the Montgomery County Council passed a bill giving preference to displaced federal workers applying for county jobs if they lost federal positions on or after January 1 and can show a lost income—County Executive Marc Elrich will sign it immediately, and it will run for one year.
