ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • Maryland rapper Y.N.G. used his 12-year firefighting experience to rescue a driver from a burning car on I-495 Saturday morning when a mechanical failure caused the vehicle to overturn and catch fire, and paramedics transported the driver for treatment.  WUSA9

CRIME NEWS

  • Two teen boys were arrested for armed robbery after they robbed the same beer and wine store in Bethesda three days in a row—on July 8, 9 and 10—as police said they threatened an employee and stole money.  WTOP
  • Montgomery County Police are investigating an armed robbery at a Rockville liquor store that occurred on July 1 when a white male teenager with red hair, seen wearing a cinnamon cap, reflective sunglasses, yellow rubber gloves, a gray hoodie, black pants and white sneakers, confronted an employee, demanded money from the register and fled by jumping a fence — detectives are urging the public to share any information based on released surveillance footage.  Montgomery Community Media
  • Rockville man Javier Armando Pastrán Morales, 32, was first arrested without bond on May 15 after a 15-year-old reported he recorded her in a Westfield Montgomery fitting room on April 17—he was re-arrested on July 11 and now faces charges for production and distribution of child pornography, sexual abuse of a minor, aggravated cruelty to animals and possession of child pornography.  Montgomery Community Media
  • Montgomery County Police are seeking victims of Rockville man Javier Armando Pastran Morales, who was arrested for recording a 15-year-old in a changing room at Westfield Montgomery and charged with manufacturing and possessing child pornography, sex abuse of a minor, and aggravated cruelty to animals — detectives urge any affected to call the Special Victims Investigations Division at 240-773-5400.  WJLA
