- ➤ After 10 months of construction, Rockville Swim and Fitness Center’s outdoor pools will re-open Monday with new features such as two 26-foot-tall water slides, a shallow-water playground and floating lily pads. The project received nearly $6 million in funding over 2024 and 2025 — the pools will remain open until Labor Day while the outdoor fitness pool stays open into October. MoCo360
- ➤ On June 28, Gaithersburg’s Bohrer Park will host SummerFest with live music, food trucks, and family activities — the free event sponsored by Amazon Fresh, Patient First, Chick-fil-A and the Maryland State Arts Council will feature fireworks at 9:20 p.m. and an afterparty.
