Good morning, Rockville.

Today, Rockville Economic Development, Inc. launches Global Bites, inviting residents to enjoy international flavors at local restaurants — earning raffle entries to support local nonprofits.

The culinary tour runs through June and offers a unique way to explore the city's diverse dining scene.

Tarun Sinha from Silver Spring competed on Food Network's new cooking competition show 100 Cooks streaming on HBO Max, while Rockville's Gourmet Bazaar was featured in Washingtonian for its traditional Iranian fare & goods.

Nine young artists display ‘Sanctuary of Solace,’ a multimedia installation about safety, identity and connection at the Mansion at Strathmore with a pay-what-you-can event on Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m. at (10701 Rockville Pike) as the Arts and Social Justice Fellowship concludes.

Montgomery County Public Schools will offer free summer meals to over 12,000 children starting Tuesday, June 23, at more than 100 sites, funded by the USDA.

The program also works with Maryland SUN Bucks to provide eligible families a $120 grocery benefit (linked with SNAP and WIC).

Eleven candidates are competing for four open Montgomery County school board seats in a nonpartisan primary, with early voting underway for the June 23 election.

Candidates are addressing issues such as staff cuts, school boundary changes, academic achievement and safety (details provided in the voters guide).

Montgomery County Public Schools encourages students to set summer reading goals by using the Booked for the Summer Guide (which offers tips for every grade level) and checking local libraries for more books and activities.

These resources aim to keep learning engaging all summer.
