- ➤ The D.C. area remains under a drought watch even after recent heavy rain including Friday’s stormy deluge lowered the odds of needing a reservoir release from 22—36% to 10—20% according to expert Michael Nardolilli of the Interstate Commission on the Potomac River Basin.
