- ➤ Metro will start a new systemwide policy in June that will ban individuals who commit violent or sexual offenses from using its services. The ban will last 45 days for a first offense, 90 days for a second, and 365 days for a third offense — people may appeal any ban longer than 24 hours within 15 days. WJLA
