Good morning, Rockville.

Today, Pride Family Day takes place at Glenn Echo Park — an annual event that kicks off Pride Month and marks five years of celebration.

Montgomery County Public Schools will use tougher rules this fall after a rise in bomb threats, weapons on campus, and assaults on staff.

The district will train administrators in June—sending updated handbooks home before school begins to keep students safe.

Metro will start a new systemwide policy in June that will ban individuals who commit violent or sexual offenses from using its services.

The ban will last 45 days for a first offense, 90 days for a second, and 365 days for a third offense — people may appeal any ban longer than 24 hours within 15 days.

Local kids took part in a football camp at Laurel High School on Sunday with Commanders star Mike Sainristil and former teammate Benjamin St-Juste from the Chargers.

The camp, hosted by Legendary Sports Xperiences with about 150 kids, let them learn drills and hear tips from NFL pros — an event that filled young players with hope.
