- ➤ WMATA's new fare enforcement policy, beginning today, is drawing criticism from the bus drivers union that fears increased risk when drivers announce unpaid fares. The union sent a letter to WMATA asking for a review while some riders at Union Station expressed similar concerns. WUSA9
- ➤ At a recent House Energy and Commerce subcommittee hearing, officials discussed plans to repair three segments of the aging Potomac Interceptor after its January burst spilled 240 million gallons of sewage near Cabin John; the repairs carry a $425 million estimate and await permits from the National Park Service.
