- ➤ Montgomery County pools will open for summer tomorrow at seven local sites. On Memorial Day, the pools will operate from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. MoCo360

- ➤ Carmen’s Italian Ice is set to open its fourth location in Potomac's Cabin John Village shopping center early June, while Marathon Deli opened its Greek-inspired eatery in Crossroads of Kensington on May 8 plus Panera Bread will permanently close its longtime downtown spot on Tuesday. MoCo360

- ➤ MCPS will start a new math model for rising fourth graders next year to help teachers focus instruction and enrichment. Meetings run from 7:00 to 8:15 p.m. on Tuesday, May 26 at Rosa M. - ➤ Montgomery County Public Schools invites Grade 7 families to My Future Fairs information sessions at local schools to learn about high school Regional programs beginning fall 2027 — sessions are available in English and Spanish. Montgomery County Public Schools
- ➤ The MCPSEF awarded nearly 260 students + $2.5 million in scholarships during the Evening of Excellence on May 20, recognizing 226 seniors from 25 high schools with a $10,000 Rales-O’Neill Scholarship for postsecondary plans. Montgomery County Public Schools
- ➤ A high school senior earns her associate degree in bioscience this week at Montgomery College as part of a dual enrollment program while she will graduate from Clarksburg High School in June.
