ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ A collision involving a Montgomery County Public Schools bus and a car at the Norwood Road — New Hampshire Avenue intersection in Silver Spring injured 10 students and two adults on Tuesday morning at 7:15 a.m. when the bus, heading to James Hubert Blake High School, transported everyone to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. - ➤ At a ceremony Monday, the MCPS Educational Foundation awarded nearly $2 million in scholarships to 200 students — including Marie Olympio who received a $10,000 award to help cover college costs when she attends the University of Pennsylvania this fall. - ➤ Maryland State Sen. C. Anthony Muse said he did not expect Gov. Wes Moore to veto the reparations bill that would have studied slavery reparations as the governor argued now is not the time for another study. - ➤ Metro officials will start automating trains on the Green and Yellow Lines this Friday after the oversight commission approved changes that met prior safety concerns. - ➤ All four incumbent legislators—Sen. Cheryl Kagan, Del. Julie Palakovich Carr, Del. Joe Vogel and Del.
