- ➤ JetBlue Airways will start service at BWI Marshall Airport on July 9 by offering three daily flights to Fort Lauderdale, and will expand service to San Juan on Nov. 2 + airport officials say the move meets growing market demand. WJLA
- ➤ United is offering special price-capped fares for Spirit travelers as it responds to the shutdown. Fares are capped at $199 for short routes and $299 for longer ones, and bookings are available now through May 16 for affected passengers in the region. WJLA
- ➤ Spirit Airlines flights at BWI are canceled as the carrier ceases operations amid bankruptcy, leaving 277 scheduled flights for rebooking + JetBlue will offer special fares and additional services starting July 9, including flights to San Juan on Nov. 2. WTOP
