CULTURE NEWS

  • Grammy winners Chris Brown and Usher will perform at Northwest Stadium on Friday, July 10 and Saturday, July 11 for their North American tour. Tickets go on sale through a Citi presale starting April 21 plus general sales beginning April 27 at noon.  WJLA

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Montgomery County parents filed an emergency request on March 31 to pause the board’s decision to move Wootton High School from Rockville to Gaithersburg while state reviews begin + affecting plans for a new setup in 2027-2028.  MoCo360

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Montgomery Parks will begin upgrades after receiving a $6 million gift from the state to renovate seven parks and expand solar power production. Projects include parking improvements, playground updates and field restorations — plans and timelines are still to be shared.  WJLA

SPORTS NEWS

  • Bethesda’s Kiki Rice, a UCLA guard who helped win the school's first NCAA title, was selected sixth overall by Toronto Tempo at Monday's WNBA draft in New York. Toronto Tempo will play its first regular season game on May 8 as Rice learns from team veterans (including coach Sandy Brondello).  WTOP
