Three people, including two children, were treated for carbon monoxide poisoning after Montgomery County Fire Rescue pulled them from a building on Ruatan Street in Takoma Park on March 3rd— the children were unconscious and the adult was awake at the time of the rescue.

Maryland transportation leaders said today that the Purple Line has entered a dynamic testing phase on a one-mile track using eight light rail vehicles.

Officials said testing will continue through 2026—passengers are expected in 2027 as the project reaches 76% complete.
