A homicide investigation was launched in Potomac after a man went to Rockville City Police at 8 a.m. on March 30 to report that he murdered a family member—officers responded to the 12600 block of Tribunal Lane and found an injured adult female victim who was pronounced dead after rescue efforts; her body was sent to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for an autopsy.

The County Council discussed a proposed zoning bill on Monday that would allow duplexes, triplexes, townhouses and apartment buildings along designated corridors to address Montgomery County's affordable housing shortage—15% of the new units must meet workforce housing standards.

Council members Andrew Friedson and Natali Fani-Gonzalez introduced the idea to help stop the county from losing residents.
