- ➤ Montgomery County Council President Kate Stewart announced Monday that a new public-private coalition—Mobilize Montgomery—was formed to support local businesses and more than 77,000 federal workers affected by budget cuts. - ➤ Legislative leaders and the House Appropriations Committee restored $300 million in proposed cuts to developmental disability services after weeks of public testimony and lobbying, easing funding reductions for fiscal 2026.
