- ➤ Officials said flushable wipes and heavy rags clogged the system—causing a sewage spill in Paint Branch Creek on Sunday. WSSC crews are cleaning up the spill and working to prevent similar incidents. WUSA9
- ➤ DC Water says it will take 4-6 weeks to repair the damaged section of the Potomac Interceptor pipeline near Cabin John while pumping systems prevent sewage from entering the river. The utility also plans a nine-month rehabilitation project to improve the pipeline’s integrity. WJLA
