About this event

Hear the DC Concert Orchestra in its season opener, “American Discoveries,” a collection of symphonic perspectives on American identity animated by folk music and anthems. The concert is 90 minutes, including one 15-minute intermission.

On the program:

Jessie Montgomery: Banner

Aaron Copland: Four Dance Episodes from Rodeo

Amy Beach: Symphony in E Minor (“Gaelic”), Op. 32

Please join us immediately afterward for a reception to celebrate our new season, meet the conductor and musicians, and enjoy refreshments (sodas, coffee, tea, beer, and wine) and light snacks.

Church of the Epiphany is a fully accessible facility located one block from Metro Center. Commercial parking is available immediately adjacent to the church; street parking is available but scarce.
