About this event
The holidays can bring up complicated feelings about family, belonging, grief, boundaries, and the people and places that help us feel at home.
In this creative workshop, participants will create a mixed-media collage using natural and found materials to explore the idea of “found family”: the people, places, animals, traditions, sensory experiences, and communities that provide us with comfort, connection, and care.
The gathering will include a community-building circle, creative prompts, and plenty of time for making, with participants invited to share only what feels comfortable. Each person will leave with a mixed-media artwork that can serve as a visual representation and reminder of what brings them a sense of belonging and support.
The vibe of the event will be cozy, reflective, playful, and intentionally low-pressure – no art experience necessary!
