About this event

Advanced Beginner Ballet – Prerequisite: Completion of Beginner 2 or equivalent experience. This class is a progression from Beginner II, designed for dancers with at least four years of training who have maintained a regular practice. At this level, technical prowess and vocabulary expand significantly as students begin to bridge the gap between foundational work and artistic expression. The curriculum introduces sophisticated elements such as ronds de jambe en l’air, attitude turns, and waltz steps, alongside an introduction to batteries and the expansive movement of grand allegro. As combinations grow longer and more intricate, a deepened focus on musicality allows dancers to test their coordination and apply their technique with greater artistry. Students are expected to have a firm grasp of alignment and classroom etiquette to support this more dynamic and fulfilling pace. All material from previous levels is included. Additional Skills Covered: direction changes at the barre double frappés rond de jambe en l'air attitude position penchée en arabesque pas de basque promenade in arabesque and attitude pirouettes en dedans in attitude and arabesque entrechats trois and six ballonnée ballotté temps de cuisse pas failli jeté and assemblé battu assemblé élancé emboite in attitude cabrioles saut de chat saut de basque dancing en manege
