Ballet- Beginner: Teens (ages 13+)

Classical Ballet is an essential component of any well-rounded dance education. Beyond being its own celebrated art form, ballet provides the important technical foundation for styles such as contemporary and jazz, and it teaches students discipline, focus, grace, strength, and respect. In this Beginner-level class for dancers between the ages of 13 and 17, you will learn the fundamentals: Proper ballet attire/demeanor, introduction to barre exercises, basic center work, combinations across the floor, and reverence. This class is suitable for students with no prior experience, as well as those with minimal experience (less than 2 years) looking to brush-up on technique. Please note that this class is open to adults in addition to teens.
