About this event

Dan Barrett of Have a Nice Life brings Giles Corey, his depressive folk project, to DC on its first-ever solo tour, the night before The Flenser reissues the 2011 album. With fellow Flenser artist Kathryn Mohr and Val Acton Loper.

First released in 2011, the self-titled Giles Corey album and its companion book have gathered a devoted following. The songs move through depression, death, history and the paranormal. This fall Dan Barrett (Have a Nice Life) plays them alone for the first time: stark voice, acoustic instruments and unstable electronics. The Flenser releases a remastered edition on November 13. Support from Kathryn Mohr and Val Acton Loper.

Doors 7:00 pm; show 8:00 pm. All ages.
