About this event

Thursday November 5th

Founded by Ecuadorian frontman Luis Giler, Discord Theory has spent the past several years carving out a distinct place within the Southeast's independent music scene, combining emotionally charged songwriting with a willingness to pull from outside the traditional boundaries of emo, pop-punk, and post-hardcore. Their 2023 full-length Eight Ways From Dire Straits, produced by Lee Dyess (Mayday Parade, From First to Last), showcased the band's knack for dynamic arrangements, memorable hooks, and introspective songwriting.

The band has shared stages with Bayside, Hail The Sun, Geese, Aaron Gillespie, Sincere Engineer, Kurt Travis, Strawberry Girls, Andrés, Zeta, and Skillet, while also appearing at Gasparilla Music Festival and Treefort Music Fest. More recently, Discord Theory supported Keep Flying and Felicity on select tour dates and opened for The Supervillains at Jannus Live.

The upcoming tour arrives as Discord Theory continues working on new material, including their forthcoming single “Get A ‘Real’ Job,” which was mixed and mastered by Alan Day of Four Year Strong. The track continues the band's tendency to turn personal experiences and outside expectations into loud, hook-heavy songs built for a room full of people to scream along to.
